Preparing the Hoover Dam for the 21st Century
The @aGlance/IT client/server software at the Hoover Dam is
drawing its fair share of attention from the manufacturing and power industries. The
attention is easy to understand. The combination of MAXs quality work and speedy
response to the Bureau of Reclamation (BOR), and the state-of-the-art @aGlance/IT client/server middleware helped
the BOR find the missing link for their new SCADA system.
The link gives the BOR the solution they need in a way that
is remarkably easy-to-use for both
today and tomorrow. By connecting the DDBS
to the FIX and utilizing the Excel spreadsheet for troubleshooting, it gives the BOR the
control they need over their operation today. The @aGlance/IT client/server software sets the foundation for the
BORs solution for tomorrow because it is open-based software that is built to grow. It is no
where near its highest capability. Future options of Intranet and Internet are already heading towards developing operations data tables and dynamic graphics that
will be accessible from any standard web browser. Other options are sure to follow- and
continue to follow. It is the software that is built to grow- and built to make a
customers operation grow.
