Boasting plenty of rubber and a protected window, these rugged scanners can withstand repeated drops of up to 183 cm (6 feet), wind and rain, off road vehicle vibration levels and below freezing temperatures.

Performance is just as impressive. Standard range versions can read as small as 5 mil code or 100 mil retro-reflective code. The new Advanced Long Range offering reads at distances never before available in Sabre products – as far as 8.1 meters (27 feet)! Do you need to read PDF417 code? The 1551E is the first Sabre scanner to offer a high-speed laser scanner engine capable of reading both linear and PDF417 bar-codes. And all 1551E scanners come with Intermec’s built-in decoder, known for its snappy scanning performance.
